Rotterdam Pride 2018 ambassador: MA’MA QUEEN (Dennis Bijleveld)

“We’re all born naked and the rest is drag.”

Dennis Bijleveld aka Ma’MaQueen is a 27-year-old non-binary multidisciplinary visual artist. In 2017, Dennis graduated from the fashion department of the Willem de Kooning Art Academy in Rotterdam with a minor in gender studies. After graduating, Dennis started his own company By Level D and worked as a performer, drag queen, fashion designer, model, stylist and make-up artist.
Ma’MaQueen (or Dennis) is an optimist, a fashion designer and a drag queen. He lives his life the way he wants and experiences a life packed with adventures.
In 2016 Ma’MaQueen hosted the Pride Festival together with her bestie “MissJayJay”.
At the IFFR (International Film Festival Rotterdam) 2018 a short film was shown by Esmee van Loon, where the story of Dennis is told as Ma’MaQueen. An inspiring story with lots of struggles and guts that inspired the community. That is why Ma’MaQueen is one of the Rotterdam Pride 2018 Ambassadors.
During Rotterdam Pride we will see much more of this colorful, fantastic dragqueen.
