First time organising an event?

Are you organising an event during Rotterdam Pride for the first time this year? We got you! We would like to help you if you need help and that is why we organise the walk-in consultation hour. During this hour you can ask all your questions to our team members who all have different expertises in-house. Will we see you there?

Accessibility

As an event organizer, it is important that you think about making your event accessible to as many people as possible. For example, have you ever thought of the following points:

- Is your location fully wheelchair accessible?
- Is er bij de locatie een rolstoeltoegankelijk toilet aanwezig?
- Is er een ruimte waar (neurodiverse) mensen kunnen ontprikkelen?

These aspects and more can ensure that your event is accessible to a wide audience and everyone has a good time.

Step-by-step plan:

So you’ve made your first steps to organising the event and would like to register it in the official Pride agenda. This is absolutely possible if you continue to follow these steps next.

1. Create a Facebook Event

This does not take much effort. Do you already have a Facebook page for your event? Then go to "Manage page" and click on "Create event". Otherwise, go to the "Menu" at the top right and click on "Events" and then "Create new event".

Enter the date and location of your Facebook Event and give it a nice cover photo. It is ok if these change in the future.

2. Fill in the form

At the bottom of the page there is a registration form to fill in your event details and send them to us.

It is important that Step 1 is done, because here you have to enter the web address (URL) to your Facebook Event page.

3. Receive a confirmation e-mail

You will receive a confirmation email from us upon arrival of your request.

In the next few weeks we will take your request under advisement. It’s important to us and our community that your event is in line with our Vision Statement.

4. Approval

When your event is approved, you will receive an e-mail from us. Then your event is also immediately on the website.

Good to know: our calendar updates every few hours, so adjustments to your Facebook are automatically included on the website.

5. Promotion

Start promoting your event as part of Rotterdam Pride! We have a Press Kit where you can find all kinds of templates that you can use for your photos.
